केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने आज कोविड-19 महामारी के कठिन समय में भारतीय मीडिया द्वारा निभाई गई भूमिका की सराहना की। 17वें एशिया मीडिया शिखर सम्मेलन में वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अपने संबोधन में मंत्री ने कहा कि भारतीय मीडिया ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि देश में सभी लोगों तक कोविड जागरूकता संदेश, महत्वपूर्ण सरकारी दिशा-निर्देश और डॉक्टरों के साथ मुफ्त परामर्श आसानी से पहुंचे। उन्होंने कहा कि दूरदर्शन और आकाशवाणी ने सार्वजनिक सेवा के अपने कार्यादेश के अनुरूप महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया, जो त्वरित कवरेज, जमीनी रिपोर्ट और सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य पर कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से रुझान को स्थापित करने में उनकी भूमिका से सिद्ध होता है।
दूसरी महामारी को लेकर, गलत सूचना के बारे में मंत्री ने कहा, “अपुष्ट दावों और मीडिया में प्रसारित गलत कंटेंट ने लोगों में अत्यधिक भय का माहौल पैदा कर दिया था।” पत्र सूचना कार्यालय की फैक्ट चेक यूनिट को श्रेय देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि फर्जी खबरों और गलत सूचनाओं के इस खतरे के खिलाफ वास्तविक समय के आधार पर मज़बूत लड़ाई लड़ी गयी।
कोविड-19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में सरकार की उपलब्धियों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए, श्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने कहा कि 1.3 बिलियन आबादी का टीकाकरण करना बेहद चुनौतीपूर्ण था, सरकार, कोविड योद्धाओं और नागरिक समाज के संयुक्त प्रयासों के परिणामस्वरूप भारत ने अपनी अधिकांश आबादी का टीकाकरण पूरा कर लिया है।
इस बोझ को साझा करने और समय की मांग के अनुसार कार्य करने का श्रेय, मीडिया को देते हुए, मंत्री ने कहा, “इस प्रयास में, भारतीय मीडिया ने लोगों को कोरोनावायरस के खिलाफ टीकाकरण के लाभ के बारे में शिक्षित करने में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। हमें कई अवरोधों का सामना करना पड़ा। सबसे बड़ी चुनौतियों में से एक थी- वैक्सीन के प्रति दुविधा की भावना। इसे मीडिया ने सही संदेशों और शिक्षा के जरिए दूर किया। हमारे प्रधानमंत्री श्री मोदी ने वैक्सीन के बारे में स्पष्ट संदेश देने के लिए ऑल इंडिया रेडियो कार्यक्रमों या टीवी चैनलों के माध्यम से नागरिकों को संबोधित किया।”
इस वर्ष एशिया मीडिया शिखर सम्मेलन का विषय “फ्यूचर फॉरवर्ड, रीइमेजिनिंग मीडिया” है। मीडिया के बदलते वितरण तंत्र पर जोर देते हुए, श्री ठाकुर ने कहा कि मीडिया आज अत्यधिक रूप से तकनीक द्वारा संचालित है और यह नवाचार की तेज गति का साक्षी बन रहा है। किफायती मोबाइल उपकरणों के माध्यम से इंटरनेट के विकास ने मीडिया उद्योग को फिर से ऊर्जा दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि 5जी तकनीक वितरण की गति में वृद्धि और मीडिया के कंटेंट की गुणवत्ता में सुधार करके उपयोगकर्ता के अनुभव को और बेहतर करेगी।
हालांकि श्री ठाकुर ने यह भी कहा कि तकनीकी प्रगति चाहे जो भी हो, लेकिन इसके मूल में हमेशा कंटेंट की प्रामाणिकता ही रहेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हम सूचना के मुक्त प्रवाह के अधिकार के बारे में बात कर सकते हैं, लेकिन हमें सही सूचना के प्रसार की आवश्यकता के बारे में भी बात करने की जरूरत है।
हाल में कान में सिनेमा के माध्यम से भारतीय सॉफ्ट पावर के अभूतपूर्व प्रदर्शन को याद करते हुए, श्री ठाकुर ने कहा कि भारतीय सिनेमा ने दुनिया भर में लाखों लोगों के दिलों को जीता और भारत के लिए एक पहचान अर्जित की। इस तथ्य की पुष्टि इस फिल्म महोत्सव में भारत की फिल्मों को फिल्म प्रेमियों की ओर से मिली जबरदस्त वाहवाही से होती है। कुल 3000 रिलीज के साथ भारत हर साल सबसे अधिक फिल्मों का निर्माण करता है। श्री ठाकुर ने भारत में फिल्मों की शूटिंग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कान में घोषित प्रोत्साहनों को भी दोहराया।
यह प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का विजन है कि भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन को प्राथमिकता दी जाए। इस विजन को साकार करने के लिए सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय फिल्म विरासत मिशन के तहत फिल्मों के संरक्षण की दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी परियोजना की घोषणा की है। श्री ठाकुर ने जानकारी दी कि इस अभियान के हिस्से के रूप में विभिन्न भाषाओं एवं शैलियों की 2200 से अधिक फिल्मों की पुरानी भव्यता को बहाल किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि संरक्षण विभिन्न पीढ़ियों को आपस में जोड़ता है। नई पीढ़ी को उन मूल्यों को जानना, स्वीकार करना और आत्मसात करना चाहिए जिन्हें हमारे पूर्वजों ने संजोया है।
श्री ठाकुर ने उपस्थित लोगों को ब्रिटिश शासन से देश की आजादी के 75वें वर्ष के जश्न की जानकारी दी और कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री मोदी के नेतृत्व में हम अपनी ऐतिहासिक नैतिकता, पारंपरिक मूल्यों, सांस्कृतिक लोकाचार को फिर से जी रहे हैं। आजादी के लिए हमारे स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों द्वारा दिए गए बलिदानों के प्रति हमारी युवा पीढ़ी और अधिक जागरूक हो रही है।
केन्द्रीय मंत्री ने अपने संबोधन का समापन करते हुए दुनिया में मीडिया द्वारा निभाई जाने वाली सकारात्मक भूमिका के प्रति अपना दृढ़ विश्वास व्यक्त किया और कहा कि सशक्तिकरण के एक प्रभावी साधन के रूप में मीडिया में लोगों की धारणाओं और दृष्टिकोणों को आकार देने की अपार क्षमता होती है।
