ऋषि कपूर की डेब्यू फिल्म बाॅबी के 50 साल पूरे हो गए है। फिल्म में ऋषि कपूर के अपोजिट डिंपल कपाड़िया कास्ट की गई थीं। हालांकि राज कपूर के डायरेक्शन में बनी इस फिल्म में ऋषि के अपोजिट नीतू सिंह काम करना चाहती थीं जो आगे चलकर उनकी पत्नी बनीं।
नीतू सिंह को फिल्म में राज कपूर कास्ट नहीं करना चाहते थे
फिल्म एनालिस्ट दिलीप ठाकुर ने टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया को दिए इंटरव्यू में बताया कि नीतू सिंह की मां चाहती थीं कि फिल्म बाॅबी में उनकी बेटी लीड रोल में दिखें। इसके लिए उन्होंने बहुत कोशिश की लेकिन फिल्म के डायरेक्टर राज कपूर नीतू सिंह का कास्ट करने के हित में नहीं थे।
वजह ये थी कि नीतू ने इससे पहले फिल्म दो कलियां जैसी फिल्मों में बतौर चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट काम किया था। राज कपूर फिल्म के लिए एक फ्रेश चेहरे की तलाश में थे। इस वक्त हर के इंसान के मन में यही सवाल था कि ऋषि कपूर के अपोजिट किसे कास्ट किया जाएगा।
पिता के कहने पर डिंपल ने स्क्रीन टेस्ट दिया और सिलेक्ट हो गईं
डिंपल कपाड़िया के पिता चुन्नीभाई कपाड़िया की भी इच्छा थी कि उनकी बेटी राज कपूर की फिल्म की हीरोइन बनें। इसके लिए उन्होंने बेटी डिंपल से कहा कि वो राज कपूर के सामने फिल्म के लिए स्क्रीन टेस्ट दें। पिता की बात मान कर डिंपल ने आरके स्टूडियो में टेस्ट दिया। यह वह शॉट था जहां वह एक सीढ़ी से उतरती है और ऋषि कपूर को गले लगाती है। डिंपल ने इस शाॅट को बखूबी प्ले किया और सिलेक्ट हो गईं।
नीतू नहीं पारसी लड़की यासनीन थीं ऋषि कपूर का पहला प्यार
फिल्म बॉबी रिलीज होने के बाद ऋषि और डिंपल कपाड़िया का अफेयर चर्चा में था, लेकिन असल में दोनों का कोई रिश्ता नहीं था। दरअसल, ऋषि स्कूल के दिनों से यासमीन नाम की पारसी लड़की से प्यार करते थे। ये उनकी जिंदगी का पहला प्यार था। जब ऋषि को फिल्म बॉबी में काम मिला तो यासमीन ने ही उन्हें वजन घटाने में मदद की।
डिंपल से नाम जुड़ने पर यासमीन ऋषि से अलग हो गई थीं। मगर ऋषि ये गम बर्दाश्त नहीं कर पा रहे थे। फिल्म बाॅबी के बाद उन्होंने फिल्म जहरीला में नीतू सिंह के साथ काम किया था। इस वक्त वो अपनी को-स्टार नीतू से यासमीन को काॅल लगवाते थे और घंटों जवाब का इतंजार करते थे, लेकिन जवाब नहीं मिलता था। वक्त के साथ ऋषि का पहला प्यार अधूरा रह गया।

म्यूजिक कंपोजर लक्ष्मीकांत ने एक बार इंटरव्यू में बताया था कि उन्हें पता ही नहीं था कि फिल्म में बाॅबी का रोल ऋषि का है या डिंपल का। ये ऋषि की डेब्यू फिल्म थी। इसी कारण सबको लगता था कि उनके ही किरदार का नाम बाॅबी होगा। मगर ऐसा नहीं हुआ।
फिल्म के डायरेक्टर राज कपूर अपनी फिल्मों की स्टोरी लाइन वुमन सेट्रिंक रखते थे। चाहे वो फिल्म प्रेम रोग, हिना, सत्यम शिवम सुंदरम या राम तेरी गंगा मैली हो। लोग अक्सर इस बात को नजर अंदाज कर देते हैं कि मेरा नाम जोकर के बाद राज कपूर का सिनेमा बदल गया था और उन्होंने अधिकतर महिला प्रधान विषयों पर फिल्में बनाईं।
