महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री श्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से आज न्यू आष्टी रेलवे स्टेशन से न्यू आष्टी -अहमदनगर डीईएमयू सेवा का उद्घाटन किया। इस अवसर पर महाराष्ट्र के उपमुख्यमंत्री श्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, केंद्रीय रेलवे, कोयला और खाद्यान राज्य मंत्री श्री रावसाहेब दादाराव पाटिल दानवे उपस्थित थे। इससे पूर्व न्यू आष्टी-अहमदनगर नई रेलवे लाइन (66 किमी) की पट्टिका का अनावरण किया गया था।
इस अवसर पर महाराष्ट्र के राजस्व, पशुपालन और डेयरी विकास मंत्री श्री राधाकृष्ण विखे पाटिल, महाराष्ट्र की पूर्व मंत्री श्रीमती पंकजा मुंडे, संसद सदस्य डॉ. प्रीतम मुंडे, डॉ. सुजय विखे पाटिल, विधान परिषद के सदस्य श्री सुरेश दास, श्री राम शिंदे, विधायक श्री बालासाहेब अजाबे, श्री लक्ष्मण पवार, पूर्व विधायक श्री शिवाजी कार्दिले और नगराध्यक्ष श्रीमती पल्लवी ढोंडे उपस्थित थीं।
पृष्ठभूमि और लाभ:
- 66 किलोमीटर की न्यू आष्टी-अहमदनगर ब्रॉड गेज लाइन 261 किलोमीटर लंबे अहमदनगर-बीड-पारली विजयनाथ लाइन परियोजना का हिस्सा है। इस परियोजना का 50 प्रतिशत व्यय केंद्र और शेष राज्य सरकार वहन कर रही है।
- डीईएमयू सेवा न्यू आष्टी-अहमदनगर क्षेत्र और आसपास के क्षेत्रों के निवासियों के लिए बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी सुनिश्चित करेगी।
- यह स्थानीय व्यापार और उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देगी और इस प्रकार मराठवाड़ा क्षेत्र के सामाजिक-आर्थिक विकास में वृद्धि होगी।
- डीईएमयू रेल अहमदनगर से सुबह 07.45 बजे चलेगी और सुबह 10.30 बजे न्यू आष्टी पहुंचेगी और वापसी में सुबह 11.00 बजे न्यू आष्टी से चलेगी और दोपहर 1.55 बजे अहमदनगर स्टेशन पहुंचेगी। यह रेल सेवा रविवार के अलावा सप्ताह के शेष दिनों में जारी रहेगी।
- यह डीईएमयू रेल कड़ा, न्यू धनोरा, सोलापुरवाड़ी, न्यू लोनी और नारायण दोहो स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी।
